Firearms Order and Shipment Process
1. In order to receive a regulated item, you will have to locate a local FFL holder to arrange a transfer of the regulated items. Have your local FFL holder email ffl@southlandarmory.com a signed PDF version of their FFL. Be sure to have your FFL holder include the Customer name (as it appears on the order) and order number in the subject line. FFL holders may also choose to mail a copy of their FFL to Southland Armory. If mailing a copy of their FFL, please include a typed note containing the Customer name (as it appears on the order) and order number. FFL holders can mail a copy to Southland Armory at:
Southland Armory
ATTN FFL Dept.
PO Box 455
King George, VA 22485
2. Confirm that the firearm you wish to purchase from us meets the laws of your state, county, or city.
3. Remember that the transfer of the firearm is between you and the FFL holder. You must abide by their procedures especially when it comes to following Federal, State, and Local laws. You must confirm the transfer with the FFL holder. Be aware that they will most likely charge a transfer fee that you will need to pay separately to the FFL holder.
4. Once your FFL holder receives your firearm, you will need to pick it up in person at their location. Upon arrival at your FFL holder, inspect your firearm to make certain that everything is acceptable before filling out the necessary paperwork for Federal and State Police background checks. If you are not able to pass the background checks, the transferring FFL cancels the transfer due to suspicious fraudulent and/or criminal behavior, or the FFL holder informs us the item purchased is not transferrable to your state and/or locality, you will be responsible for all related return shipping charges and fees in addition to a 20% restocking fee.
5. If you have an FFL and place an order for regulated items, we will need to have a clearly signed copy of your current FFL. If we do not have a clearly signed copy of your current FFL, the order will remain on hold until we can obtain one by email, or mail. Once your FFL has been received and verified, the order will be processed and shipped. Please include your name (as it appears on the order) and order number in your email along with your FFL. You can email a copy of your FFL to ffl@southlandarmory.com.
6. Once we receive your transferring FFL’s copy of their license, we will associate your order with the FFL license and process the item for shipment to your selected FFL. To ensure timely order processing please have your FFL holder include your (customer) name (as it appears on your order) and your order number for order verification and processing. Failing to receive a customer name (as it appears on the order) and order number will delay your shipment and your order will remain on hold until we can accurately verify the correct item is going to the correct FFL, for transfer to the correct person.
7. Southland Armory will include Customer name, phone number, mailing address, and in some cases may include email address within the firearm shipment to help facilitate your timely receipt of the item from the transferring FFL, in addition to enabling legal compliance.
8. Southland Armory maintains a Preferred FFL Dealer list. Preferred Dealers are FFLs that have elected to perform transfers for FFL items purchased from Southland Armory. If your selected FFL is a Preferred Dealer, there is no need to contact the FFL holder to request a transfer. Southland Armory will process the shipment to the Preferred Dealer. You may also request to include your dealer as a preferred dealer to facilitate faster orders.

We understand that some manufacturer defects may not be identifiable upon initial inspection. By purchasing a firearm from us, you agree that upon discovering a defect in your transferred firearm that you will work with the manufacturer for replacement or repair (in accordance with their warranty policy). If your firearm is damaged in shipment or determined to be defective prior to the completion of the transfer, contact service@southlandarmory.com. Should any damage occur, Southland Armory will be happy to assist you with contacting the shipper but will not be held financially responsible for the item or its replacement cost. With purchase of the insurance, the buyer assumes all risk associated with shipping damage. Any and all shipping charges are non-refundable.
All orders are sent insured and Signature Required to verify delivery.  It is your responsibility to make sure someone will be there to sign for the package. Any returned orders due to lack of signature or other FFL transfer complications will be subject to a 20% restocking fee in addition to return shipping charges.
If you have a problem with your dealer being open there would be a reprocessing of the shipment and Shipping out to the new dealer so please make sure you have ironed out all the details with your FFL in advance of the order. This is a dealer that you contacted in advance about the transfer and you assigned to your order. We are not responsible for any issues that may arise with your FFL holder/dealer.
